Port Austin is at the northern most point of the "Thumb Area" of the lower peninsula of Michigan. It offers scenic views of Lake Huron and is a boater's dream. A total summer town the tourism driven community in effect closes down during the harsh Michigan winter.
The water tower is of the large bulbous type. It is silver in color and painted with block letters reading Port Austin. It is impossible to get a direct shot of the lettering due to surrounding tree coverage.
Tower is located near 37 Madison St, Port Austin, MI 48467.
