A stationary Southern Railway (SOU) X447 caboose which sits neglected and nearly overgrown on a rural lot outside Allen, TN (Meigs County). It is near Shiloh Baptist Church which owns the property the caboose sits on. This is a bay widow steel caboose. Its number X447 is stenciled inside the caboose and underneath on the sill. The caboose is set on rails.
The caboose has not been modified since its railroad days. It appears to have much of its original equipment both inside and outside. The insides have been painted with graffiti but are otherwise in fair to good condition. This caboose is on private property and should not be climbed on without land owner permission.
