Mloda kobieta chciala przywitac powracajacego ukochanego bukietem kwiatów, wiec wyszla do ogrodu. Jednak zamiast strzaly amora, trafila ja kula snajpera. Hanna zginela.

[ENG]Villa at Morskie Oko street in Warsaw, built in 1928 for Andrzej "Arpad" Chowanczyk, hides a tragic story. During World War II, it was an important underground center where Jewish families and insurgents hid. Legend has it that on the night of August 5-6, 1944, Hanka, who was in love with one of the soldiers stationed in the building, found shelter in the building. The young woman wanted to welcome her returning lover with a bouquet of flowers, so she went out to the garden. However, instead of Cupid's arrow, she was hit by a sniper's bullet. Hanna died. After her death, her ghost in a white dress appeared in the villa, wandering around the balconies and the garden.
The villa was abandoned after a fire in 2003 and until 2012 it looked like a real haunted house. Currently, it is beautifully renovated, and walkers can admire it by visiting Szustrów Park.
It is not certain whether Hanka's story is true. This is most likely just an urban legend.
