"La iglesia de Santa Ana de Cádiar fue construida en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI a raíz de la destrucción de la conocida como «iglesia vieja´´ durante la »Revuelta de las Alpujarras» por parte de la población morisca, edificio que se situaría en la Plaza de España de Cádiar. En un primer momento la iglesia de Cádiar estaba dedicada al culto de la Encarnación, pero ésto se vería modificado en 1763, cambiando y estableciendo como patrón a San Blas y a Santa Ana, esta ultima otorgándole su nombre.

De construcción renacentista, la iglesia de Santa Ana presenta una planta de cruz y construcciones de contrafuertes, presentando como material principal la piedra poseyendo un torreón y un tejado a cuatro aguas."

"The church of Santa Ana de Cádiar was built in the second half of the 16th century following the destruction of what was known as the "old church" during the "Alpujarras Revolt" by the Moorish population, a building that would be located in the Plaza de España in Cádiar. At first the church of Cádiar was dedicated to the cult of the Incarnation, but this would be modified in 1763, changing and establishing Saint Blaise and Saint Anne as patron saints, the latter giving it its name.

Of Renaissance construction, the church of Santa Ana has a cross plan and buttress constructions, featuring stone as its main material, possessing a tower and a hipped roof."
