Tobacco shops are marked with a red diamond. It is not a diamond but a carrot. It is actually an allusion to the sale of tobacco as it was done in the 16th century.

At the time, tobacco was not arranged in packets but in rolls tied at the ends that looked like carrots. Moreover, the expression "tobacco carrot" was born in 1723.

Although the use of tobacco has changed, tobacconists have been required to affix this red badge on their storefront since 1906. Just like the inscription "TOBACCO".

The Store also sells all kinds of gambling games. You will find all tobacco-related products: cigars, cigarettes, tobacco, pipes, lighters, rolling papers, and some gifts... It also does the press.

Les bureaux de tabac sont signalés par un losange rouge. Ce n’est pas un losange mais une carotte. Il s’agit en réalité d’une allusion à la vente de tabac telle qu’elle se faisait au XVIe siècle.

À l’époque, le tabac n’était pas disposé dans des paquets mais dans des rouleaux ficelés aux extrémités qui s’apparentaient à des carottes. D’ailleurs, l’expression "carotte de tabac" est née en 1723.

Bien que l’usage du tabac ait changé, les buralistes ont l’obligation d’apposer cet insigne rouge sur leur devanture depuis 1906. Tout comme l’inscription "TABAC".

Le Magasin vend aussi toute sorte de jeu d'argent. Vous y trouverez tous les produits liés au tabac: cigares, cigarettes, tabac, pipe, briquets, papiers à rouler, et quelques cadeaux... Il fait également la presse.
