The Gothic Revival style church, was built between 1871-74 to replace an earlier imported prefabricated iron structure erected in the 1850s. The intended tower and spire were never added. The bluestone church has a slate roof, the interior comprises of a five bay clerestoried nave with aisles, chancel and organ chamber. The main door is centrally located directly beneath the large west window.
