"L’oratorio risale al 1679 e si presenta, al suo interno, in stile prettamente barocco sia dal punto di vista architettonico che decorativo.
L’interno è formato da tre cappelle e un altare centrale, costruito in occasione del restauro degli anni ’60. La cappella di destra è dedicata alla Beata Vergine di Loreto, quella di sinistra a San Giovanni di Natha. L’oratorio è ricco di tele, affreschi e stucchi di Tommaso Missiroli, detto il Villano, e di Ignazio Stern. Quasi tutte le suddette opere raffigurano momenti della vita di S. Onofrio.
Sopra la porta di ingresso è stato innalzato il cenotafio (ossia il monumento sepolcrale vuoto) in onore nel defunto Clemente Galanotti, che aveva disposto la costruzione dello stesso oratorio.
Organo Positivo Gatti
Conservato nell’Oratorio di Sant’Onofrio di Lugo è di tipo positivo, cioè trasportabile, risale alla metà del sec. XVIII e sulla base delle caratteristiche di fattura delle canne è stato attribuito ai Gatti, famiglia di organari bolognesi.
L’organo Positivo Gatti dell’Oratorio di Sant’Onofrio, si compone di 45 tasti, di una pedaliera di 8 tasti in ottava corta e di sei registri. Le canne sono 204 e sono per quasi la totalità di stagno, metallo che favorisce la brillantezza del timbro. Fu acquistato da Luigi Lotti, per cento zecchini, al fine di essere collocato nell’oratorio ma dovette subire una modifica per essere accolto all’interno dell’edificio. Seriamente danneggiato durante la guerra, solo nell’estate del 1970 fu eseguito il restauro dall’organaro Bartolomeo Formentelli di Verona.
Attualmente chiusa al culto religioso, ospita mostre e rassegne d’arte." (

Die Kapelle rechts ist der Heiligen Jungfrau von Loreto gewidmet, die linke Kapelle San Giovanni di Natha. Das Oratorium ist reich an Gemälden, Fresken und Stuckarbeiten von Tommaso Missiroli, bekannt als Villano, und von Ignazio Stern. Fast alle der oben genannten Werke zeigen Momente aus dem Leben des Heiligen Onofrio.
Über der Eingangstür wurde das Kenotaph (d. h. das leere Grabdenkmal) zu Ehren des verstorbenen Clemente Galanotti errichtet, der den Bau desselben Oratoriums angeordnet hatte.
Positive Organkatzen
Es wird im Oratorium von Sant'Onofrio in Lugo aufbewahrt, ist vom Positivtyp, also transportabel, und stammt aus der Mitte des Jahrhunderts. XVIII und aufgrund der handwerklichen Eigenschaften der Pfeifen wurde sie der Familie Gatti, einer Orgelbauerfamilie aus Bologna, zugeschrieben.
Die Positivo-Gatti-Orgel des Oratoriums von Sant'Onofrio besteht aus 45 Tasten, einem Pedal mit 8 kurzen Oktavtasten und sechs Registern. Es gibt 204 Pfeifen und sie bestehen fast ausschließlich aus Zinn, einem Metall, das die Brillanz der Klangfarbe verstärkt. Es wurde von Luigi Lotti für einhundert Zechinen gekauft, um es im Oratorium unterzubringen, musste jedoch umgebaut werden, um im Gebäude untergebracht zu werden. Im Krieg schwer beschädigt, konnte die Restaurierung erst im Sommer 1970 durch den Orgelbauer Bartolomeo Formentelli aus Verona durchgeführt werden.
Derzeit ist es für religiöse Gottesdienste geschlossen und beherbergt Ausstellungen und Kunstbesprechungen.

The oratory dates back to 1679 and inside it is in a purely Baroque style, both architecturally and decoratively.
The interior consists of three chapels and a central altar, built during the restoration in the 1960s. The chapel on the right is dedicated to the Virgin of Loreto, the one on the left to San Giovanni di Natha. The oratory is rich in paintings, frescoes and stuccoes by Tommaso Missiroli, known as Villano, and by Ignazio Stern. Almost all of the aforementioned works depict moments from the life of Saint Onofrio.
Above the entrance door, the cenotaph (i.e. the empty funerary monument) was built in honor of the late Clemente Galanotti, who had ordered the construction of the same oratory.
Positive organ cats
