This statue of Our Lady of Lebanon is located at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon on North Lipkey Road in North Jackson, Ohio. The statue is at the top of a tall tower, which is a replica of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Hariss, Lebanon. The statue is accessible by climbing a spiral staircase to the top of the tower. The statue depicts Our Lady with a crown on her head and her arms outstretched. On the base of the statue is a verse from the Canticle of Canticles, which says, "Come from Lebanon my bride, come from Lebanon."

A proposal for a Maronite shrine in honor of Our Lady of Lebanon was first proposed in 1960. Land was then purchased in 1961 in North Jackson, Ohio. The project to build the shrine was approved by Pope John XXIII and ground was broken on August 16, 1964. Construction on the church building and the tower with the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary continued for about one year. The Tower and statue were completed on July 20, 1965. The church building was dedicated by Bishop James Malone on August 15, 1965, the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On July 8, 2014, Pope Francis gave the shrine the title of Minor Basilica. The church was then reconsecrated by Bishop A. Elias Zaidan on October 11, 2014. The Maronite Liturgy is celebrated at the shrine everyday, except Thursdays. The shrine also hosts pilgrims and has an annual Assumption day pilgrimage.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is venerated by Christians as the Mother of the Word Incarnate, Our Lord Jesus Christ. As a young girl betrothed to Saint Joseph, Mary was visited by the angel Gabriel and told that she would conceive a son by the Holy Ghost, who would be the Son of God. In humble obedience to the divine messenger, Mary replied, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to thy word." In Bethlehem, her Son was born and was adored by shepherds and kings. As is known throughout the world, this Son, Jesus Christ, went on to suffer on the cross and rise again, offering salvation to the world through Him. Today, Mary is venerated as the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven.
