Haciendo un arco sobre el portal de entrada a la Iglesia de la Misericordia, podemos ver en el centro a la Virgen María como Madre Misericordia: María es Madre de misericordia porque Jesucristo, su Hijo, es enviado por el Padre como revelación de la misericordia de Dios. Él ha venido no para condenar sino para perdonar, para derramar misericordia. Y la misericordia mayor radica en su estar en medio de nosotros y en la llamada que nos ha dirigido para encontrarlo y proclamarlo, junto con Pedro, como «el Hijo de Dios vivo». A los lados escenas de perdones midericordiosos.
