In 1959, the University of Chicago's Laird Bell Law Quadrangle was dedicated, moving the center of the law school of the university from the center of campus to south of the Midway. The large portion of the tower at the center of the quadrangle was dedicated to the law library. This complex, designed by Eero Saarinen, was renovated in 1987 and is undergoing renovation as of 2007. The library was named after Dino D'Angelo in 1987.
