This station in northern Durham County was last used as a real estate developer’s office. The building has been empty for several years.

Train service ceased on this route several decades ago. However, the rails remain in place from Roxboro into downtown Durham. Trees have grown up between the rails. Some of the old signal equipment remains in place.

This was a combination passenger/freight depot. The foundation of an elevated platform is visible behind the building.

To reach from US-501 in Rougemont, proceed east along Red Mountain Road about 0.2 miles. The building will be on your left. Click the website link to see a photo of how the building looked in 1917.
