The history of the City of Seaside started in 1887, when Dr. John Roberts bought 160 acres of land which still form the boundaries of Seaside and Sand City. Today, Seaside has 34,000 inhabitants and the town is an integral part of the Monterey Peninsula communities.


Part of the City Hall structure is the Seaside Veterans Memorial.
