St. Bernard Abbey is a community of Catholic men who follow the Benedictine tradition of prayer and service in ministries that include education, hospitality, parish ministry, and spiritual retreats. The abbey was founded over a century ago in 1891 by German-speaking monks from St. Vincent Abbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The monks minister to visitors through the campus prep school, retreat and conference centers, gift shops, and Ave Maria Grotto, a display of hand-crafted miniatures of historic Holy Land sites.
