Hawthorn Glen is a 23 acre Nature Center operated by Milwaukee Recreation a Division of Milwaukee Public Schools. The park entrance is on the west side of the park on 60th Street. The playground is visible from the parking lot. The playground has slides, 2 sets of play structures, and 2 tire swings. The playground has a wood chip ground cover and the play equipment has some shade at times. There is also a 3/4 mile self-guided nature trail with part of the lower trail blacktopped for accessibility. There are restrooms in the assembly building and a seasonal bubbler near the playground.
