The Prospect Tower stands on the National Trust’s Cotehele Estate, built around 1789 as a “folly” by the gentry who lived at Cotehele House in celebration of the royal visit of King George III.
The 3 sided tower is 60ft high each wall in concaved. Most of the windows have been filled in. The National Trust erected a spiral staircase so visitors can climb to the top.
