Remember it is the responsibility of every person who visits a rock art site to leave it as they found it. Do not disturb it in any way. Do not touch it. Do not climb on it. Do not camp near it.
These petroglyphs are located on a south facing basalt boulder face about 100 feet south of Ore. Hwy. 31 at Picture Rock Pass. The pass is about 6 miles north of the Summer Lake General Store and Post Office. Photos of these petroglyphs occur frequently on tourist information produced by Lake County and local communities.
Additional petroglyphs occur on rimrocks and indivdual boulders to the south and west of the highway. There is also reported to be single small red pictograph in the vicinity.
