HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Minniska Spring was opened by Waukesha grocer Henry W. Kent in 1897. The spring was located right in the midst of Hazel Grove, a picnic park. There were carriage trails and huge oak trees in this park. The bottling plant was located along the nearby railroad tracks, and water was pumped from the spring. The water was sold under the HAZEL and CYBELLE labels. The business did not last long and soon the little spring was used to supply water to the nearby farmhouse.
This Spring has a deep stone basin constructed of stone. It is a simple but elegant design. At the time this earthcache was placed, work was scheduled for the basin and water pumps.
