The Christ Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1854 The first Episcopal service was held in Belvidere. By 1859 enough interest was sparked to organize a church in the area. In August of that same year enough funds were raised to build the church. By November 1959 the cornerstone was laid.
By September 29, 1860 the church was completed and consecrated by Bishop DeLacy and the first service was held. The total cost of the construction of the church was less than $2000.
This small church is rich in history and although it does not hold regular services, it has never been officially closed. Christ Church is still listed as a Mission in Union with the Rochester Diocese.
