The Orchard Lake Nature Sanctuary property on the north side of Pontiac Trail west of Old Orchard Trail is open from sunrise to sunset. If you get there in early to mid-April, the Snow Glories will be in bloom. It is an amazing carpet of flowers.

From the City of Orchard Lake website: ( visit link) Naturalist Carol Fink regularly schedules tours of the Orchard Lake Nature Sanctuary, a 50 acre preserve of pristine land with overlook views of Orchard Lake and Upper Straits Lake, located at 4700 Pontiac Trail. Several trails are open from dawn to dusk. Bicycles and pets are prohibited.
