Station 100 is the Black River port in Lorain, Ohio that was used as a boarding point for escaped slaves leaving the country for freedom in Canada. According to a nearby historical marker, the slaves would be brought five miles north by Robbins Burrell after stopping over at his farm. At this port, the escaped slaves would be loaded onto ships which would then take them across Lake Erie to freedom in Canada. The path to Canada remained active through 1861.
