This giant red tuning fork is called "Earth Song" and was constructed by Po Shu Wang in 2002. Supposedly it can actually be struck and a beautiful note will result. It is located in the center median of Shattuck Avenue across from the Berkeley Bart Station.
Note to geocachers: there is a micro here that requires extreme stealth to retrieve.
