Ha Long Bay, Vietnam - World Heritage Sites on Waymarking.com

Absolutely the most beautiful spot in all of Vietnam. And I was there during some really bad weather. The bay, on the Gulf of Tonkin, is filled with small islands and rock outcroppings, the most famous of which is Peacock Isle. There is very little habitation on the islands, but there is a village of floating homes that you can sail past on your sampan. Floating through on a quiet afternoon it's hard to fathom the idea that the tops of some of the karsts were anti aircraft stations only 35 years ago.
