Lizzie Borden, her parents and stepmother are buried here at Oak Grove Cemetery. Lizzie was accused of their murders on August 4, 1892. Although acquitted, she was ostracized by her neighbors afterward and remains notorious to this day. She died in 1927 and took the secret of the murders to her grave.
