This un-stamped mark is on the west side of Jordan Lake, south of US-64. From Pittsboro, take Hanks Chapel Road (SR1943)southeasterly to the intersection with Providence Church Road (SR1939). Mark is in the southeast quadrant, approximately 60 feet east of the C/L of SR1943. The disk is set in a concrete monument which projects 10 inches. I found this while looking for EZ1313 and EZ1314, which are supposed to be nearby.

There is a concrete R/W monument about 20 feet to the south, and another R/W marker about 130 feet to the west, across Hanks Chapel Road. There is a broken monument lying on its side directly north, across Providence Church Road, at the fence line.

Other US Corp of Engineer disks nearby were monumented in 1971. This probably was set at the same time. (It is unusual for a disk to have no stamping/number.)

NOTE: There is a benchmark in a graveyard just south of this intersection, with the ruins of a small church on the south side of the cemetery.
