Set in 1985 by Cascade Volcanoes Observatory of the U.S. Geological Survey, marked CVO-85-200. Part of the deformation monitoring network for Newberry Volcano. About 1.6 miles east along Rd. 21 from Paulina Lake Lodge jct, about 150 feet west of road to Paulina Lake summer homes. About 100 feet north of Rd. 21 in large boulder, 3 feet above ground level.
