The Right Wing Tavern, located in Old Town Woodstock’s historic train depot, opened for business Thanksgiving weekend of 2006. The flagship property of the Woodstock Downtown development, the restaurant will serve as a bridge between classic and modern Woodstock.
The uniquely themed restaurant will play on right wing politics with a tongue-in-cheek perspective. Cleverly coined menu items such as Reagan Atomic Wings, and Condoleeza Pilaf give diners a chance to enjoy the lighter side of politics. The tavern will also host events such as Political Trivia Night and Soapbox Night that will give citizens and community leaders a place to gather and debate relevant political issues. Political comedians and live music are also on the venue.
The 140-seat restaurant features full-service dining, full bar and year-round al fresco seating. An historic landmark, the train depot lends itself to the patriotic spirit that is at the heart of The Right Wing Tavern. A blending of classic Americana, a buzz of current events, a chance to be politically incorrect and great food makes The Right Wing Tavern the perfect downtown watering hole.

An all-American tavern menu with an edgy twist may be the only thing that right and left-wingers can come to agreement on in this restaurant, but the emphasis is on good food and good fun.
