Borgue is a quiet village which still has a school, hotel and village shop. Looking south down Main Street past the hotel and war memorial and towards the village hall across the junction.

Up on the hill is the church and graveyard. On the left of picture is the war memorial (visit link) on the lawn of the hotel (visit link) . Houses on right of road have not changed their roof line.
Borgue has always been a dairy farming area. Not far away is Cream O'Galloway. (visit link) An excellent use for milk.
