QD1253 - USGS P-25, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is located along a road section between Devils Lake and Elk Lake that was abandoned in the early 1960’s when the current alignment of the Cascade Lakes Highway was established. Road segment is now a trail in the Three Sisters Wilderness. The cap is set in a boulder about 15 feet east of the old centerline and about 3 feet lower. The cap was set by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1929 and was marked P-25.
