The outside structure is clad with concrete blocks manufactured on site, from cement, to look like rustic stone especially for this library.....
The Carnegie section of the library now houses the North Perth Branch of the Stratford Perth Archives, a reading room furnished by Ruth Hay in memory of her late husband, David Hay, who was a past mayor of Listowel, the CEO’s office, a programming room and until December 2003 an office for the North Perth Chamber of Commerce. Architect: W.E. Binning a local architect who designed 7 other Carnegie Libraries in Ontario.
