Constructed in 1927, Haven School's Art Deco style can be seen in the building’s vertical look, symmetry, geometric brickwork, flat roof, and wall setbacks.

Haven School was the only school in New Lenox School District 122 from its opening in 1927 until 1961. Afterward, the school served as a either a 7-8 junior high or a 1-3 grade school. Since 1999, it has been renamed to Haven Administrative Center and is used for the District 122's office headquarters.

The Haven Administrative Center was designated a Will County Historic Landmark on November 20, 2008.
