Kawasaki station, was opened in 1872 and is known as the third oldest station in Japan after "Shinagawa" station and "Yokohama" station, and boasts the second largest number of passengers in Kanagawa Prefecture.
There are many commercial facilities around the station, such as the station building "Atre Kawasaki", "Kawasaki Azalea", "La Cittadella", and "Lazona Kawasaki Plaza", so it is very busy even on weekdays.
