Nice safe park located behind the town hall. Features a large fountian, swimming pool (seasonal and YMCA operated) and kids playground. Also feratures a "SprayPark". Very clean and VERY well maintained. Park is also VERY safe as it is basically located in the Gonzales City Police department parking lots! Held (usually) the last week in May, is the Jambalaya Festival where cooks from the surrounding area attempt to be crowned the "Jambalaya King". The dish is seasoned rice and chicken cooked over an open wood fire. Past festival had about 150 cooks and the festival lasted for 4 days! Check out the website
