The stone building was moved to its present location in 1992, and serves as an introduction to North Cheyenne Canyon Park and its beautiful waterfalls, rock formations, wildflowers and wildlife. There is a small gift store, and they also provide maps of the area. They have a bird-watching window, hands-on nature exhibits, books, and programs such as Tipi Raising & Ute Indian Heritage.

Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
