Hamlet, NC Amtrak Passenger Depot on Hamlet Ave has been renovated in the Victorian Style as it was originally.

In its heyday this depot saw many trains pass through running the route from New York to Miami. Today the Amtrak services makes stops here to board passengers for the ride north and south. Renovations to the depot bring the building back to its former glory of yesteryear.

If the station/depot is not being used for railroad purposes, what is it currently used for?: Part of the depot is rented out for office space. A sign outside list a tax service as an occupant. Until recently, it housed the National Railroad Museum.
What rail lines does/did the station/depot serve?: CSX/Amtrak currently uses this station. Originally it was a Seaboard Airlines RR station.
