T-38 Talon - Lubbock, TX - Static Aircraft Displays on Waymarking.com

This was the first T-38 to arrive at Lubbock's Reese AFB. The T-38 supersonic trainer with twin turbo jets and moderately swept-back wings arrived at Reese's on January 26th, 1963.

It replaced the T -33 as the basic trainer to permit qualification of pilots for quicker transition to larger and faster aircraft. The first class to graduate in the T-38 was Class 64-C in 1963.
