The recently renovated, Attakapas Landing is a public boat landing located at the end of Highway 401 in the southeastern quadrant of Lake Verret. Attakapas Landing also provides public access to the Elm Hall Wildlife Management Area. Paved parking and public restrooms are available
Lake Verret is a shallow lake with stands of beautiful cypress trees along its shoreline. Largemouth Bass, bluegill (bream), and catfish are the most sought after. In the spring, Lake Verret experiences incredible catches of bream. This beautiful area of south Louisiana is truly a sportsman's paradise!
