This is a historical sign that gives a little history of the Kemp town jail.

Built in the early 1900's the calaboose was used to jail early offenders of the law. It is legended that Bonnie Parker (of Bonnie and Clyde fame) and one other member of the Barrow Gang was held here in 1932.
