Marker Text: An Indian trail running from Turkey Hill on the Susquehanna to trading posts on the Schuylkill, crossed Cobb's Creek near here. It was used by fur-trading Minquas, or Susquehannocks. The Swedes built a stronghouse here, 1646, to command this "Beaver Road."
