The house in which Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson grew up was here, at least until it was razed to make way for the Century Freeway (AKA I-105, AKA "The Glenn Anderson Transportation Corridor"). In 1961, they recorded their first song, 'Surfin', with their cousin, Mike Love, and a friend, Al Jardine, starting The Beach Boys on a long and sometimes strange journey, and generating the wave that became The Surf Sound. The Beach Boys became synonymous with warm summer days, cool water and lots of innocent fun.
