It is not known, when the first church was built at this place. There is a basilica testified around 1080. From this period a crypt of the 12th century still exists. The rest of the church was destroyed in the earthquake of 1356. It was rebuilt around 1360 and changed several times later. In 1529 it became a reformed church.
