The marker is located in a tiny fenced lot directly next to a private residence on Mill Street in Haverhill. The text of the marker reads:
Pentucket - Haverhill
On this spot the Indians signed a deed granting Pentucket, now Haverhill, to the white settlers for three pounds ten shillings. The original deed dated November 15, 1642, is non in the possession of the Haverhill Historical Society.
The Haverhill Historical Society is located not far from the location of the marker at 240 Water Street.
