This unlikely spot is the location of Wilmington's original town common. Why they would put the common halfway up a hillside is anyone's guess.

In the 1780's two meeting houses where built at this location and it became Wilmington's first town common. Today it is a quiet little park with a few picnic tables and charcoal grills.
