The beautiful McCoy's Creek runs out of a canyon next to Black Mountain in the Caribou National Forest near Freedom Wyoming and into Palisades Reservoir. It is a great place to camp creekside or fly fish for cut throut trout. Palisades Reservoir was formed when Palisades Dam was built, creating a source of hydroelectric power. The major rivers that form the reservoir are the Snake, Grays and the Salt. The Snake emerges at the northwestern terminus of the reservoir.
