"Our Lady of Shoes", possibly intended to be the Virgin Mary, sits on a pile of shoes and holds several shoes in her hands.
The statue was originally located at the Port of San Diego building. It was later moved to the City Administration building. In 2009 it was moved to Mount Hope Cemetery in a section of the cemetery that is home to many indigent dead, including immigrants who died while trying to cross the border.
