After stumbling upon a drug deal gone bad, Llewelyn Moss takes the suitcase of money from the scene and goes on the run. He ends up in the Desert Sands Hotel. In the movie, the Desert Sands Hotel is in El Paso, Texas but in reality it is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
