HBYC was founded in 1888 on its present location.
It is set in the historic seaport of Williamstown close to Melbourne CBD.
The club has an extensive Yachting calender and all parties experienced or novices are welcome to join.
Between October and March there is a series of twilight meetings on Wednesday night.
The club has had access from 1965 to nearby Ferguson Street Pier for boat mooring.
