This memorial is dedicated to those who died in the First and Second World Wars. It was dedicated on May 11, 1949. Mrs. S. E. Renault laid the first wreath in memory of all who fell on November 11, 1949. The memorial was erected in 1949 for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 429, Wawa, Ontario. Build and donated by the home building company of Langdon and Samson, the memorial was donated with no cost to the Royal Canadian Legion.
