This one room schoolhouse was built in 1894 on the corner of County Road "V" and County Road "T" in Portage County a few yards from the Waupaca County Line. The school was in use until the late 1940's. Many of the students belonged to the Borgan family who lived in the area. A wall was built down the center of the building prior to 1942 to accommodate two class rooms. After the school was consolidated and then closed the Borgan family used it for storage until the Historical Society obtained the structure from Mr. Loyal Borgan. It was then move with great difficulty to the Plover Heritage Park in Plover, WI. The original location of the one room schoolhouse was
