Independence Cemetery is a nice rural cemetery located on the south side of Highway 9, south of Lake Thunderbird. The cemetery sign is old and rusty, but the grounds itself seem to be well maintained.
There are a few large trees on the grounds, but the burial area is mostly flat mowed grass. The gate and cemetery entrance are on the west side, off of 48th Ave. SE.
