Der Bahnhof Husum wurde 1910 erbaut und wird von der Deutschen Bahn AG heute in der Bahnhofskategorie 3 geführt. Ein weniger repräsentativer Vorgängerbau (Empfangsgebäude von 1854–1910) befindet sich im nördlichen Bahnhofskopf, ein weiterer Bahnhof (Husum Nord) weiter nördlich vom heutigen, dritten Bahnhof. Der Bahnhof ist Eisenbahnknotenpunkt, er verbindet die Strecke Westerland–Hamburg (Marschbahn) mit der Strecke nach Bad Sankt Peter-Ording auf der Halbinsel Eiderstedt und der Bahnstrecke Jübek–Husum, die weiter über die Bahnstrecke Neumünster–Flensburg nach Kiel führt. Alle Bahnlinien werden mittlerweile von der Nord-Ostsee-Bahn betrieben, die zur Veolia-Gruppe gehört. Es halten allerdings auch einige Intercity-Züge der Deutschen Bahn.
The station was built in 1910 and Husum is supported by the Deutsche Bahn AG is today by the train station Category 3. A less prestigious predecessor (reception building from 1854 to 1910) is located in the northern head station, another station (Husum Nord) to the north of today, the third station. The station is a railway hub, it connects the line Westerland-Hamburg (Marschbahn) with the way to Bad Sankt Peter-Ording on the peninsula Eiderstedt and the railway Jübek-Husum, which continues over the railway line Neumünster Flensburg in Kiel. All lines are now operated by the Kiel railway, which is part of the Veolia Group. Think, however, some intercity trains of Deutsche Bahn.
